I approach my work with clients in a genuine and non-judgemental manner, and am committed to helping each of my clients achieve their goals and improve wellbeing. I completed a 4-year Bachelor degree in Psychology with Honours and a 2-year Master of Clinical Psychology with distinction at the University of Wollongong
I have practised psychology in both inpatient and outpatient settings and my clinical experience includes co-developing and delivering groups for depression, anxiety and psychosis at St John of God Healthcare as well as a DBT program for mental health problems; treatment of individuals with chronic pain at the Pain Management Centre at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital; therapy for individuals with personality disorders at Northfields Clinic; and providing therapy to clients with a variety of clinical presentations in several private practice locations in Sydney and Wollongong.
I have completed advanced training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
I have a special interest in working with clients with longstanding psychological difficulties, including chronic anxiety and depression, emotional regulation problems, relationship difficulties and Borderline Personality Disorder. I have completed specialised training and supervision in Schema Therapy, a commonly used treatment for such issues.
I am also passionate about teaching and academia and I currently lecture and teach at the University of Wollongong. I am currently completing a PhD in psychology, researching the ways that we can improve the training of student psychologists.
