Lissie has worked for eight years as a school counsellor across two schools in Sydney, providing counselling support from pre-school to year 12 students. This included running small groups such as Cool Kids for anxiety, Secret Agent Society for social skills and the Resourceful Adolescent Program. Additionally, Tuning into Kids and Circle of Security Parenting program were run for parents. Lissie really enjoyed the collaborative aspect of her work in schools and now as a psychologist in private practice sees communication with key school personnel a pivotal part of supporting children and young people.

Lissie has also worked with both children, young people, and their parents as part of an inpatient and outpatient setting, as well as adults in a not-for-profit sector, applying Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), as well as using a creative play therapy approach for children.

Across her 10 years of experience with counselling and now psychology, Lissie has worked with a range of client presentations and is always working hard to create a safe and trusting environment where the therapeutic alliance is at the core of all therapeutic interventions.
