What to expect from a first session with Rose?
Whether this is your first time seeking therapy, or if you have previously seen another psychologist(s), Rose will help you to feel comfortable in the therapy room. After understanding a bit about your past and present, Rose will work with you to develop a plan of how to move forward. This plan may look different for each person and can include:
- Gaining skills to manage anxiety, stress, burnout or general overwhelm
- Learning how to improve low mood
- Understanding how to identify, manage and communicate your emotions
- Getting ‘unstuck’
- Finding out what is getting in the way of doing things that are important to you
- Understanding unhelpful behavioural and thought patterns and how these impact on your life
- Learning how to navigate romantic relationships e.g., how to communicate your needs and set boundaries or how to connect on a deeper level
- Dealing with grief
- Gaining a deeper understanding of yourself
